Scholarship Application Process

The Neighborhood Foundation for Youth Education and Development, Inc. will award scholarships in the current school year for the following amounts...

• One $10,000 scholarship will be awarded
• Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded 

• Applicant must be graduating from a Hancock County School in the current school year.
• Applicant will be attending a Vocational/Technical School, or a 2 year or 4 year Accredited College or University located in the State of Georgia.  Scholarship funds will be sent to the school that the student will attend. 

Applications must be submitted by May 5th.  Applications will not be accepted after this date.  You may either mail your application or submit electronically.  

Required information for submitting via mail include name and contact information, first and last, address, telephone number, and email address.  Also required is the name of the school you plan to attend, a narrative to include information about your community service activities, your academic performance and High School activities, and your career plans.  Finally please include two (2) letters of recommendation.  One must be from a faculty member or administrator at your school.
